At Sumida Aquarium's jellyfish area, we held the limited-time events Moon and Jellyfish and Dandelion and Jellyfish in the Big Petri Dish, which is one of the largest flat water tanks in Japan. These events utilized the unique feature of the Big Petri Dish, where you can view the perfectly round jellyfish from above. In Moon and Jellyfish, we showcased the life of jellyfish paralleled with stars, featuring baby jellyfish called Ephyra that appear like falling stars and form constellations. In Dandelion and Jellyfish, we presented a story linking the life cycle of dandelions, which float gently yet strongly as seeds before blooming again, with jellyfish, which drift gently through the sea in a cycle of reincarnation.
